Love this place! It’s a smaller, better, more professional than the candy store (It’s Sugar) in Atlantic Station. They also sell ice cream. The coffee ice cream was fantastic! They have so much going on in there! The customer service was stellar! It’s worth the trip even if there’s no Brave’s game.

I don't leave reviews for everyone or everything - certainly not when they are solicited-for. I suspect RSS mandates their staff request them. I'd have dropped this review anyway. I recently visited the Battery location and was assisted by Je'de, who was a terrific representative of the company and brand. She let me sample some ice cream before settling on a flavor for my cone, which I ate happily while she filled the order I really went for. That's right, pralines and bear claws as Christmas gifts! She was helpful, friendly, and conversational. The gifts were well-received. Thank you, Je'de!

Tamia was great! She greeted me immediately upon arrival! Inquired about what I needed. As I went to complete my order she informed me of a promotion towards my purchase. I purchased a pound of bear claws and received a 1/4 lb for free. My friends and myself enjoyed the sweets and will comeback again.

Well, this was a pleasent experice so many nostolgic candy, i have seen in a long time, I enter this place on a whim, and it was worth it, the candy apples are huge, parline are super soft i was expecting them to be hard but it wasnt't, i wanted to try a sample of thier ice cream, but didnt get a chanve too, next time!, its a bit pricey, but its nice memory lane moment full of candy,sweets, and treats. I gave it a 4 because i wasnt able to sample the ice cream.

In November 2025, I purchased four bags of Glazed Pecans for Christmas gifts. One bag was to munch on. However, when opening the bag, the pecans were all stuck together & were definitely not fresh. I called the store & spoke with Catiera. I informed her that I would bring back all of the bags, even the one that wasn’t fresh. When I went back the next week Catiera was there & she made it right. She gave me a slightly larger bag of the glazed pecans & five bags instead of four. That made my day because I live about 45 minutes from the store. I appreciate the service I received and the customer care. You don’t always get that kind of friendly & apologetic service at other stores. I’m in gratitude to Catiera & her team!

River Street Sweets has been my favorite candy store since I was a little girl. So many wonderful memories with my family have been created through this store. I was super excited when I learned there was a location at The Battery. Not only do we go for the pralines, but Cecil (our nickname for him is “Shift Leader”) truly creates an unforgettable experience every single time. His infectious personality, quick sense of humor, and genuine customer care brighten the entire atmosphere. Sometimes we stop by not just for the sweets, but simply because we know Cecil will make us smile. It’s rare to meet someone who can turn an ordinary stop into the highlight of your day, but Cecil does it effortlessly. His energy, kindness, and laughter remind us that great customer service isn’t just about the product. It’s about the people. Cecil, you deserve every bit of recognition (and a raise!) for the joy and peace you bring to your customers.
